Users can purchase supported cryptos with one of 47 major fiat currencies. Users may also sell Bitcoin for either EUR or U.S Dollars. The Paybis platform is well-structured and provides much information on its products, services, and its team. Their 3 main services are:

  • Bank transfer – 0.05% or 2 EUR fee, whichever is higher
  • Skrill and Neteller – Deposit fees decrease as the size of the deposit increases. 4% for less than 100 EUR, 3.79% for less than 200 EUR, 3.65%… etc.

Costumer Review

On Trustpilot, Paybis holds a 4-5-star rating with a corresponding “Excellent” trust level, which is an exception in the crypto space. We have not found any other complaints. The website does not explain its regulatory environment. Also operating via a UK entity, Paybis is apparently not registered with the FCA as a crypto firm.

Regulations

Paybis is a registered partner of UAB “Finansinės paslaugos „Contis,“ part of the German Solaris Group, which holds the electronic money institution license issued by the Bank of Lithuania

Paybis is registered with U.S. FinCEN as a Money Service Business (MBS). However, in its Terms, the crypto payment processor says that U.S. clients are processed via its partner Zero Hash, a licensed US money transmitter and technology provider for the digital asset ecosystem, to provide services to U.S. clients.

Conclusion

While we do consider Paybis an honest company with great service, we surely miss the detailed regulatory data, which is of utmost legal importance. Thus, we included Paybis in our “Orange Compliance” list.
