FairFX is a specialized, UK-based money transfer and currency exchange provider focused on TravelMoney by using credit cards, online bank transfers, or debit cards to complete currency exchanges. FairFX is controlled by Equals Group Plc.
FairFX was established in 2005 by Jason Drummond (Linkedin).
Offering
FairFX allows personal and business clients to buy currency for travel abroad and international money transfers too.
The company offers three main services:

The Currency Card is similar to other debit cards and can be used online, at ATMs, and stores.
In general, the most important currencies such as CNY, EUR, GBP, and USD are transferred and paid out on the same day. Other currencies like ZAR, CHF, and RUB are transferred within 1 to 2 days.
Complaints
In 2019, a former shareholder in failed AIM-quoted gambling company Media Corporation brought fraud charges against Drummond and his younger brother Justin. Drummond and his brother denied any wrongdoing. The charges were later dropped by the former shareholder. In February 2020, Drummond and his brother were ordered to pay costs of £59,200 by the judge after he found that the former shareholder had acted improperly by “introducing evidence that he knew or strongly suspected was fabricated.
FairFx used Wirecard’s technology until its insolvency in June 2020, which led to thousands of customers being unable to access their funds in the summer of 2020.

Conclusion
Although there were some legal problems around the founders and also their Wirecard distribution channel could lead to doubts but from a merchant point of view there were no problems which lead us to rate FairFX on Green.
