Mastercard has announced the launch of a new crypto debit card in Europe, developed in partnership with Mercuryo. This innovative card allows users to spend more than 40 different cryptocurrencies directly from their self-custodial wallets at over 100 million merchants across the continent.
Mercuryo, a European provider of crypto payment infrastructure, aims to simplify the use of digital assets for everyday purchases by enabling transactions to be processed in euros. Unlike the recently introduced Metamask card, which is designed specifically for Metamask users and supports a limited number of cryptocurrencies, the Mercuryo card offers broader wallet compatibility and supports a wider range of digital currencies.
